To commercialize a
diagnostic product allowing diagnosis of about 70% of urinary
tract cancer,we are steadily progressing in our collaborative
research and development with companies specializing in diagnostic
products. The product is applicable not only to the
diagnosis of cancer but also investigation of the cause of
hematuria.
The assay target is a protein called calreticulin.Using
proteomics,we discovered that this protein is over-expressed in
bladder cancer (Clinical Chemistry 50:857-866,2004). |
